Honkaku Rice Shochu
Jishukan
Higo Jishukan’s dry, full-bodied character and profound depth of flavor are the careful result of blending our mellow and rich, all-Koji Honkaku Rice Shochu varieties in proportions that follow the fabled Golden Ratio.
This distinguished Honkaku Rice Shochu inherits its name from the Jishukan School founded in Kumamoto Prefecture in 1755. While the school no longer exists, it is widely remembered for the many notable historical figures it produced.
As Kumamoto is considered the home of Rice Shochu, we wanted to create a blend that inspires a feeling that “People may forever sing the praises of Kumamoto while sipping Higo Jishukan together.”
